Porn Addiction Assessment
Based on the validated Problematic Pornography Consumption Scale (PPCS)
Research Foundation
This assessment is based on Griffiths' components model of addiction (2005), evaluating six core elements: Salience (when it dominates your thoughts), Mood Modification (using it to cope), Tolerance (needing more), Withdrawal (distress when unable to use), Conflict (problems in relationships/responsibilities), and Relapse (returning to problematic patterns).

Porn Addiction Symptoms Assessment
About This Assessment
This addiction symptoms assessment tool is based on the Problematic Pornography Consumption Scale (PPCS), a scientifically validated instrument developed by researchers to identify signs of problematic pornography use and potential addiction.
The Scientific Foundation
The PPCS is based on Griffiths' components model of addiction (2005), which has been widely applied to behavioral addictions. This model identifies six key components that characterize addictive behaviors:
- Salience: When pornography dominates a person's thinking and behavior
- Mood Modification: Using pornography to escape negative feelings
- Tolerance: Needing increasing amounts or intensity over time
- Withdrawal: Experiencing negative emotions when unable to use pornography
- Conflict: Experiencing problems in relationships or responsibilities
- Relapse: Returning to problematic patterns after attempts to stop
How to Complete This Assessment
The assessment consists of 18 questions divided into 6 categories. For each statement, you'll be asked to rate how frequently you've experienced it in the past 6 months, from 1 (Never) to 7 (All the time).
Please answer honestly for the most accurate results. Your responses are not stored or shared - this tool runs entirely in your browser.
Important Disclaimer
This self-assessment is for educational and self-awareness purposes only. It is not a clinical diagnostic tool, and high scores do not necessarily indicate an addiction. If you're concerned about your pornography use, consider consulting with a qualified mental health professional who specializes in sexual health or behavioral addictions.
